Maria Williams, Manchester, NH Member Since December 2010 Artist Statement From my earliest memories, I was fascinated with the colors found in nature. From the speckled sunlight reflected on the surface of a river to the palest pink of a newly unfurled flower, I have always loved to take in the nature that was around me at any given time. I love spending time outdoors looking at colors and all forms of life.
I've been involved in arts since I was a little girl, but I started creating my paintings in 2005. I love to work with oil and pastels. I love to use vivid and brilliant colors on my work, a bold technique that creates paintings that seem to pop out of the canvas. I attribute this to the tropical scenes and landscapes that I witnessed as a child and during my travels. Traveling is something I truly enjoy.
Other than that I have been working in web, graphic design and creative direction, I love animals, nature, hiking, spending time with family, cooking and working on creative projects. I thank God for all the blessings in life.
I exhibit my paintings at shows and exhibitions throughout NH. Some originals are exclusively sold through White Pines Gallery.
You may notice that some of my earlier artwork is signed with my maiden name “Maria Gonzalez.” In 2009 I got married in Derry, NH and now I lived with my lovely husband in Manchester, NH and my little dog Spot.
