Artist Statement Hi,
I love to share of my photos with others and I hope you enjoy the ones that I post here. I grew to love my camera shortly after I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis about 3 years ago.
Although finding out why I had been so ill for so long was a relief, it actually became rather bitter-sweet. I now had to find a way to be able to earn a living from home since working outside the home wasn't an option any longer.
So there you have it. This is my way of trying to earn an income & attempting to help my husband make all the monthly payments on some of the bills. Times have been tough lately. Much tougher than either of us has ever known, but we are hanging in.
Along with the Multiple Sclerosis, I am battling some other chronic illnesses - chronic pancreatitus, osteoarthritis, vertigo, migraine headaches and a few others as well. All of these are severe enough in themselves to cause my disability, but once 2they added in the M.S. all the other problems became much more difficult to deal with. With the problems associated with the M.S. has escalatted all the pain to almost an unbearable level and being unable to travel too far without either my cane or scooter has also put a damper on some of my outings, however, when I am out I do try to take full advantage of every minute.
I never go anywhere without my camera anymore so I definately have lots of photos to share.. This is my way of bringing you a little bit of my me and my favorite places. I hope you will be able to enjoy these as much as I do...
I entered a contest last year and was actually chosen for one of the Editor's Choice awards and also received an award for being one of the runners up as well. Although I didn't win the actual $10,000.00 prize I did get nominated and that's wonderful all on it's own.
My photos will be available for sale throughout the coming months.. I'm sure you will find at least one if not more of my pictures that will be just perfect for that empty spot on your wall. So, please take a few moments to look through my portfolio to see if there is something that will be exactly what you are looking for.
Although I don't go very far for very often, you will see that I have some very special places to go and wonderful experiences to share. I hope you will enjoy my pictures as much as I did taking them.
