Description This piece was created after the 2011 Thoku earthquake and tsunami. The cherry blossoms symbolize mortality in Japan, the birds are a native species, the sun is reminiscent of the Japanese flag, and the waters were inspired from Hayoa Miyazaki films.

What I want people to see in my art is joy and humor. I love using vibrant colors. I always try to have my characters show emotion. I like to use vibrant, bold colors to convey the spirit of my work.
