Description Watercolor on hot press 8x8; matted/framedt (13x13) In watching the Tour de France this year I decided to select specific important shots I took during the live stream that turned out to be important or fun memories of the day. Julian Alaphillippe took off towards the end of Stage 3. He was a man on a mission. He not only won Stage 3, he took the lead in the overall race and put on the yellow jersey. He showed the world there's more to come in his quest to be wearing the yellow jersey in Paris as a Frenchman.
Diana Nadal, Portland Member Since March 2014 Artist Statement I am a native Oregonian, mother of 3, grandmother of 3 and wife of 50 years who had found creative outlets as an interior designer and business owner before focusing my creative energy to being a full-time artist 13 years ago.
My inspiration comes from family travels, wine, reflections and shadows on water and other surfaces, scenes with people doing ordinary but interesting things and portraits. I can't resist painting an interesting face! I prefer to paint realistically but lately my emphasis has been on more expressionistic and abstract subjects.
I taught my first workshop on Exploring Liquid Watercolors Using webbing, textures and other techniques--"Making It Your Own," and am interested in teaching artists how to start their own critique groups.
