In a way, this scene could be a nightmare to capture, that is, if you are not thinking ahead of time, about the many technical aspects involved to produce a photograph you can be happy with. I wanted to include good details and visually appealing composition in the foreground, middle, and background, because all three are important here. I also wanted to have some details in the foreground (the small archway with the bell), which frames the temple in the middle-ground, and sky in the background. The sun was slightly behind the temple, and not ideal to capture details of the Hindu pantheon, so exposure compensation was necessary I relied on my sophomoric understanding of The Zone System.Tags:Temple, Chinese, Taoism, Malaysia, SouthEastAsia, Religious, NawfalJohnson, nawfalsmokephotographist, #BEHINDTHELENS, Hindu, Pantheon, bell, BlackandWhite, #ImageKind,

I also design SMOKE-ART PHOTOGRAPHY, and that is the art style I focused on in my 2011 book, titled, ETHEREAL DREAMS and HOPE.
My Artistic Influences: My main artistic influences are Jackson Pollock and Mark Rothko. As for photographic influences, I have always drawn inspiration from Carl Fischer, and Andreas Feininger.
