Description Massachusett State Flower. Lady Slippers, native Massachutts wild flowers, are members of the orchid family. This is an unusual grouping of 5 individual plants, found in low lying swamp near an abandoned cranberry bog in Chatham near Harwich, close to Nantucket Sound and Ridgevale Beach. Very difficult to transplant. GrowS well in areas with decaying elm and related wood.

Artist Statement I am a Retired Electronic Engineer, having worked in large corporations and then starting a small electronic manufacturing firm

Shot many product photos for professional magazine articles, advertisements, catalogs, newsletters and company web sites in my professional life.

During that time I took many photos of sights seen in my travels, weekends, vacations and leisure time, Subjects included veteran's memorials, beach scenes, birds, sea critters, churches, graveyards, mountains, city views, fish piers and more.

Presently I have more leisure time and hope to expand scope of my photography to include areas where our 5 children live; New Hampshire ( sea coast area), Massachusetts (north shore), Connecticut (rural), New Jersey (near New York city) and Georgia (Tybee Island - near Savannah)
