Description I was enjoying dinner with my sister and my grandparents when a storm abruptly arrived. I suddenly saw the brightest light I have ever seen in my life out of the corner of my eye. It was immediately accompanied by the loudest explosion I had ever heard. The force of the explosion moved my head, leaving a dull pain on the side facing the window. Then a thundering crash came as the tree that had been struck by lightening split in half, vertically and horizontally. This is my favorite picture from that day. I went outside several times, braving the biting insects, and finally got a photo while the sun was out. I hope you enjoy this symbol of one of the craziest experiences I have ever had.
