Description This Masaai Giraffe was grazing on leaves alongside the road as we traveled to our lodge in Tarangire National Park, Tanzania. This is the largest of the species and can grow up to 17' tall and weigh 2700 lbs. They defend themselves with their hooves and can crush the skull of a lion if attacked.
