Description A figure drawing study, done in water soluble oil pastels. It started as three very straight forward sketches, and it took on a life of its own once I started playing with their interaction. The one arm, just naturally became the next's neck.
Artcat Designs, Houston Member Since January 2009 Artist Statement Hello, I am artcat, the artist behind the work. Animals were a natural focus for me as I have grown up doing animal rescue work. I love strong vibrant colors, and creating movement in my art.
I hold an associates degree in fine art, and hope to one day hold a masters degree in the field.
As an artist, that need to create is what drives me. It's a way to share my deepest most thoughts and feelings, joy, laughter, sadness, frustration, anger... My favorite medium to work in is oil sticks and turpentine, it combines the control of drawing with that wonderful spontaneity of painting.
My blurb, like my life, is a work in progress (bonus points if you get the reference).
