Artist Statement Born and raised in a small West-German town of Minden Eckhardt Milz was spell bound by the first animated Disney feature film he saw at the local cinema when seven years of age. After years of painting, drawing and day dreaming he got some fame as a cartoonist for the local news paper, commissioned muralist and decorative painter. In his early twenties he got his first employment in the animation business, a career that took him from West Berlin to Paris, Munich and finally London where he worked as an animator and story board artist for an international Spielberg-produced animated feature.

After hectic years in the big cities his love to the northern wilderness took him to Sweden where he currently lives in Kramfors, a small town at world heritage High Coast in northern Sweden, using his talent to paint all subject matter, landscape, still life and figurative works.
