Artist Statement I was born and raised in Colorado, where I developed a love of the outdoors. I took a lot of pictures as a kid, but they were snapshots really. It wasn't until university when I got my first digital camera that I really started to think of making art instead of snapshots. I went to school at Cornell University where I earned a bachelors degree in Engineering. I spent my summers back in Colorado hiking 14,000 foot peaks and slowly improving my photography.

After university I landed a job in Virginia where I worked for a couple of years, but reevaluated my priorities in life after taking a trip to Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. I ended up quitting my job and embarking on a year-long round-the-world adventure. My trip took my through Europe and then onto Asia -- seeing some amazing places along the way. It was in Laos where I met Jen, my wife.

We traveled together for the next three months and then she headed home to Canada and I to the US. It wasn't long, though, before I went to Canada to be with her and the rest, as they say, is history. We were married in January of 2010 in a lovely ceremony at a restaurant in a town not far from where we live. Now, we make our home in Arnprior, Ontario. It's a long way from the Rockies, but as I've come to discover, this area holds its own unique beauty.

Photography is a passion of mine, and I love expressing what I see in the world through this medium. I hope you enjoy my creations as much as I do.
