Description This is the original blue and gold. The background is a photograph that I took of some storm clouds. I always try and get a shot of them, because here in Austin, we may not see them again for a while. Rain is somewhat of a novelty here. Which, is why it is important to try and Zero-scape. Use the flowers, and plants that have stood the test of time, as well as braved the weather of central Texas. Most of which are drought resistant. Sure, bamboo and hibiscus are great, but, they are not local to this region, and, may need more water. Not to mention the fact that bamboo is an invasive species that DOES take over. If you want to keep that beautiful drive, remember to Zero-scape! Otherwise, we could loose all of that beautiful flora, and fauna lining our Texas highways.Hey, if you live in central Texas (Austin to be specific), and you are stuck in traffic, you can always enjoy the flowers along side the road. Or, at least, in the spring and summer!
