Description Driving up into the peaks of Rocky Mountain National Park was amazing but it didn't seem to be a good place to paint. It was when I'd crossed the Continental Divide and began descending that I saw the perfect place to paint.
Barbara Busenbark, Hampton Falls, NH. Member Since October 2010 Artist Statement I am a painter. While New England is my home, and most of my paintings reflect that, I also enjoy traveling and painting different places. The joy of painting is a cycle of give and take for me. While I paint I am fully immersed, consumed and focused in the act of painting. It is a release from which I emerge with a sense of personal growth and expression, always reaching and learning. It is also a means of communication, sharing how I see the world with others. Also feeding the hunger to create is how my work is received. When people look at my work and are impacted by it in a way that brings joy and contentment the cycle is both completed and renewed to start again. With that, the vibrant colors of my paintings are alive, I am alive.
