Description Of the many times we pulled off the autoroad to take pictures and catch more views, this view of Nelson Craig was one of my favorites. Looking across Huntington Ravine the view of the rocky peak was outstanding. The light was on the peak while gray clouds cast shadows behind it. There were snow fields still visible along those areas which received the least amount of sun. While under our feet there was signs of new growth. The foliage was stunted by the ever persistent wind and harsh weather, but it was returning nonetheless.
Barbara Busenbark, Hampton Falls, NH. Member Since October 2010 Artist Statement I am a painter. While New England is my home, and most of my paintings reflect that, I also enjoy traveling and painting different places. The joy of painting is a cycle of give and take for me. While I paint I am fully immersed, consumed and focused in the act of painting. It is a release from which I emerge with a sense of personal growth and expression, always reaching and learning. It is also a means of communication, sharing how I see the world with others. Also feeding the hunger to create is how my work is received. When people look at my work and are impacted by it in a way that brings joy and contentment the cycle is both completed and renewed to start again. With that, the vibrant colors of my paintings are alive, I am alive.
