Description A New print from my 'Bistro' Floral Series! This is a continuation of a fun and funky scene of whimsical 'bistro' flowers I initially started in 2005. This series is more abstract than my other Florals, but is still meant as a way to see the joys of life, to slow it down, enjoy the simpler, finer things and to take quiet moments of reflection. Move along past personal pains and learn to live and enjoy life again. Be happy, smile and laugh! Adds a strong color statement to your decor too!The original is available, just let me know!

"I have an extensive art background starting even before art college at the age of 28. As is the case with many artists, I knew I would be creating in one form or another from the time I colored and taped up my Dr. Seuss books at around age 3 or 4. (Thanks Mom!!) I am also reminded, even vaguely remember, working on my first abstracts around this same time. These first works started at the floor and went as high as I could reach and spanned my entire bedroom. Not real great for my poor mom and dad. I'm lucky they didn't ground me for the rest of my life. They were always having to pay someone to clean it all up real nice and tidy due to being in the military and moving so much. If the place wasn't perfect my dad was in trouble!
Now that I live in upper Washington State, on the northwest tip of the Olympic Peninsula, I realize this whole journey has helped me in stages to discover who I am as an artist. Living here while navigating those various life crisis we all have, has afforded me the opportunity to do what I love best -- Create a visual through art for others to experience my passion for life.
Abstract expressionism and experimentation suit me best though I enjoy working representational as well. It depends on where I feel the need to go at any given time. I use a wide range of media including Pen and Ink, Acrylics, Watercolors, Colored Pencils, Pastels, Collage...almost anything I can get my hands on. I am constantly inspired by life, my surroundings and the natural world.
