Description This was taken in the rose garden behind Notre Dame cathedral in Paris, France. The cathedral is one of the most famous in the world due to it's incredible architectural achievements and storied past. The contrast of the Gothic church and pink roses is lovely.

Artist Statement I was born and grew up in Missouri before attending Mercersburg Academy in Pennsylvania. At an early age my father surrounded me with cameras. We had a dark room in the basement where he, and later my brother, would develop and print photos. My curiosity bloomed later and it wasn't until my college years that I ran across an old medium format Yashika set. I relearned the basics from my friend David Maxwell who is an accomplished photographer in his own right, and I have been shooting ever since.

I am also a contributing author in "A Guitar and a Pen," a book of short stories written by songwriters including Kris Kristoffersen, Charlie Daniels, Tia Sillers, Robert Hicks, and many others.
