singularity
how does one write of family now that almost nothing lasts forever and there are no expectations that anything will the concrete of certainty crumbled long ago
cracks yawn wide for reasons great and small what doesn't fail under the weight of small incursions grown to impassable gulfs is shredded by prevailing winds
there are so many missing halflives lived here and there a few streets or a world apart scheduled or random the result is the same
headless and heartless and insecure every energy spent on holding it together the glue of expectation dried to brittle uselessness the flail of chaos is the new normal
there are no more lullabies their gentle words stick in dry throats die on tongues coated with disappointment all our saviors have retired to another country ~ copyright 2017 RC deWinter
