Description 'Ocean Sunset is a wall art print done in an impasto abstract oil painting technique of a sunset over the Pacific Ocean. This technique uses abstract shapes and bold colors to create a clean contemporary look. The inspiration behind this print is an unusually vivid sunset over the Pacific Ocean along the San Diego County Coastline. These types of sunsets for this area are actually pretty rare. This type of coloration requires high-level clouds and other wise clear skies. In San Diego County, the weather is either crystal clear skies or a marine layer (very low level clouds). Crystal clear skies create nice sunsets, but not with this type of color. If the marine layer has rolled in from the ocean before sunset, then you dont even see a sunset. When considering an art print, the interior design of the room comes into play and the look you are going for with any given print comes into the decision process. This particular style of art print works well in contemporary room dcor. However, an influencing factor is the framing and matting style, which can dictate what dcor the final piece will look good in versus just the style of the art print.More Artist Information: Additional prints available on Kirt's Gallery - www.TheWallGallery.comFollow my work:Blog: http://thewallgalleryblog.wordpress.com/ Google+: https://plus.google.com/b/113998712261783920634/+Thewallgallery/postsTwitter: https://twitter.com/KirtWallGalleryFacebook:https://www.facebook.com/TheWallGallery.KirtTisdaleCopyright 2014 Kirt Tisdale / TheWallGallery.com
Kirt Tisdale, Sherman Oaks Member Since February 2013 Artist Statement I have been creating art since I can remember. I have been blessed with having my work featured in various venues. What drives me is the beauty in the world with which we live. I remember as a kid looking up at the clouds and watching them change shape...if they could only stay in one shape long enough for me to enjoy and appreciate them....but that's not how it works. What I can do though is take a moment and freeze it. The beauty around us needs to be savored, contemplated and appreciated. Good art invokes an emotional response either through the scene depicted or the colors used. I hope my work invokes the same in you.
