Artist Statement Born in Puerto Rico, started drawing and painting at young age.At the age of four he did his first drwaing inspire by the japanese anime Mazinger Z. Animated cartoons like Astro Boy from Osama Tezuca and other cartoons like "EL Gladiador" serrve as a foundation of his first years drawing and sketches. Later on The movie "Fire and Ice" by the famous painter Frank Frazeta changed his life. This led him to a world of Fantasy and realism which wil became his inspiration fot years to come. This led him to other fmaous artist like Boris Vallejo , Julie Bell and Sorayama.This will lead him to an obsession with color that still is present in some of his more modern artwork which futures more saturate and vivd colors. He then Went to Borinquen School of arts where he learned the fundamentals of oil painting, pastel and drawing techniques. Other artis like the Inker from Connan The Barbarian comics serve also as a foundation for a later inking style that will last for all his life. Another of the most importanty inluence were the artworks on vnyl records, from such bands as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Helloween, Yngwie Malmsteen and Kiss led him to seek more and learn more from the different techniques of the art world. Trying to copy the artworks of the bands he loved he end up developing good skills which such media as de Prismacolor pencils which he developed further more through the years.
Later on oils became one of his main medias. He started painting portraits as a way of living. His portraits went as far as The United States. He also experiment with landscapes. Later on he started experimenting with another media. Th airbrush. As one of the pioneer of airbrush in Puerto Rico, he started at the age of 15 working doing signs, helmets, banners, t-shirts, flags, race cars. He did works for international asociations like Kajukembo from Hawai.
This passion for art led him to enroll in a visual art major program, from which he graduated with the highest honor from the Interamerican University of San German. Worked as a scientific illustrator for several books for renown biologist Juan A. Rivero. He was member of the art organization at the university call TAU. He was part of the creators of Art and Poetry at the plaza mof the towns Salina and Santa Isabel. Participated in several Art Exhibitions incluiding with renown puertorrican artist Witchie Torres who is an international painter. Also participate in the Anual Artist Collective in Aguada and some of the painting are part of the "Bellas Artes de Aguada" personal collection. He was part of The Book Who's Who among students from 2004. Also futured in the book entiteld illustrious figures from Aguada. Others works are part of the museum of Aguada. He then experiment with other medias like sculpture and later on moving to the digital world where he had the opportunity to worked doing advertisement with such brands as Subway, Quiznos, Bunker Guitars and Bases ( from Utah) to name a few. Also worked for the San Juan Fashion Week and New York Fashion week. Digital Ilustrations were future at the "EL Nuevo Dia Newspaper" as part of middle cartoon section. He also was a member of judges for several Fashion Shows and for the international Peace Day. This led him to make thousand of artwork internationally including for such artist as Mona Beck ex lead singer from Denmark Ilniath metal band and famous female fronted canadian metal band Kittie. Other works include promos for Tampa bases wrestling call ACW Underground and Artwork and marketing strategies for New York base Female fronted Metal band Infinite Plan including the lyric promotional video. Doing artworks for artist from Venezuela, Puerto Rico, U.S. to Europe. Later on looking to expand his knowledge went back to college where he graduated from a master degree MA, in Graphic Design and Digital Art, with the highest honor from the university. His thesis became real in 2015 when his hard work pay off with the launch of his redesign Bunke
