Artist Statement The brief history of John Anthony Rizzo:

Now – John lives in Northern Italy. When he is not working on client projects you can find him on his road bike riding along the vineyards of Barbaresco, photographing the life and people in the hills of the Piedmont or restoring his 800 year old stone house in the mountains. He likes the light and the unobstructed views and being as close to the Alps as he is to the Mediterranean.

Before Now – He split his time between America and Italy shooting advertising, editorial and publishing clients worldwide. Thanks to his Italian heritage he enjoys dual citizenship between America and Italia, which makes working globally easier.

The Work – John’s most perfect moments are behind the lens of his Leica camera. Whether he is photographing a 90-year old farmer in Umbria or a 21-year old fashion model in Paris, what matters is composition, light and collaboration with like minded creative people.

The Clients – Include hotels and resorts, fashion, books and magazines. Clients hire John when they want to capture a sense of place and people in their environment.

The Awards – He has received quite a few for his work as an artist, photo illustrator and charitable giving.
