Artist Statement So glad you stopped by! Enjoy your visit here and let yourself travel places in your heart and mind, as you sit back and take in the views I've captured from the world around me and my own mind's eye.
I have been drawing, painting, and taking photos since my teenage years. My inspiration is anything that triggers an emotion, a thought, a memory. Whatever stirs my heart is what I love to share. The simplest sight can make the deepest impression in my mind. To capture the energy of life on various levels is what I strive to accomplish in my work.
Some of my paintings come from photos I've taken and others from dreams I've had. I dream in color and sound (can't imagine dreaming in black and white). I have some very vivid dreams in the early hours of the morning that I log in my dream journal. I call them my impressionistic visions. It is always fun to portray these dreams I have in some form of writing or art work.
