Artist Statement I was born in Albuquerque New Mexico where I attended Southwest School of Art under the direction of Ted Hogsett. I began selling my work in 1981. I moved to Odessa Missouri in 1985 and once there I attended numerous workshops on oil painting, pastel pencil and colored pencil. I began teaching art in 2002 at my studio. I am an award winning artist at various local shows in the Kansas City area including Blue Springs Art League’s annual Fine Art Show and the Raytown Artists Assocation annual show. I work in oil, pastel, colored pencil and graphite. My specialty is color pencil portraits but I love to do southwest landscapes and wildlife. Recently, I started working with photography.
