Tony Mumolo, Apple Valley Ca. Member Since March 2007 Artist Statement As a photographer I try to see beauty hidden in chaos and the extraordinary in the ordinary. In the early years I worked exclusively in black and white which fostered a keen sense of visual design. I was inspired to shoot color by the late great, Pete Turner, an early master of color photography whose pioneering work helped establish the medium as a legitimate art form. Coming from the purist school of straight photography the digital revolution was a revelation that opened a tool box of creative possibilities unavailable with film; as a consequence I gradually embraced a more interventionist approach. I was a featured artist at No Ho Gallery L.A
