Les Rivaux
How many times, lover, will you follow me to the sea? How long before you grow tired of jousting with Neptune for my attention? I have seen your skin prickle with gooseflesh as I stand in moonlight, never chilled by stiff salt winds; I know you pace, impatient, behind my back as I stare, captive of mercreatures you cannot perceive. Do not ask me to choose, for I will always have the sea; so if you must, kiss my cheek and say farewell to me. ~ copyright 2015 RC deWinter
