Description This is a painting of my mom's new horse, Savannah Sunrise. She is a sweet Missouri Fox Trotter. Because of her genetic background, she has a very fancy way of moving, that is also very comfortable to ride. My mom has cancer in her tail bone so she needed a horse that wasn't going to hurt her. She is one of the nicest mares I've ridden and I am so excited for my mom.
Carissa Hersum, Roseville, MN Member Since January 2010 Artist Statement I am studying veterinary medicine at the University of Minnesota. I hope to receive my doctorate of veterinary medicine in May of 2012. My studies are very difficult and I decompress from the day by doing watercolors. I draw my inspiration from horses and my current scholastic journey. My paintings are very personal to me, so I may not always share what I was feeling when I created the work. If you like what you see, please buy a print. The money helps support my hobby and defrays my cost of living. Thank you for your time and I hope you enjoy my gallery!
