Artist Statement I've always been interested in art, whether it be something I was trying to create or in awe of all the works of art that surrounds us in our every day life.
Works of Art by the Masters, Artwork spray painted on a passing train, patina on old stair cases by the sea...it's truly endless and truly fascinating.
I was born in Hollywood, California (in the mid 50's) and raised in South Central and East Los Angeles when cafeterias and trolley cars were the norm in DownTown. Traveled to Palm Springs and Arizona periodically with my Grandparents. A&W Rootbeer floats in the middle of the desert seemed to taste so much better. Lived my High School days in O.C. and was at the beach summer, winter spring and fall. I am truly grateful today for the enormous amount of exposure I have had to the wide variety of creativity that is still so abundant.
I am truly blessed to be married to a woman who encourages me to pursue my love of art and who understands that, sometimes, one must listen to a bit of Frank Sinatra and other times a bit of Metallica with the volume cranked.
Though far from perfect, I believe that it is a better thing to encourage than to criticize. So if there's art that you want to create...create it! If there's music you want to play...play it. There is someone somewhere waiting to se it, someone somewhere waiting to here it.
