Artist Statement I was born in Silver City, New Mexico. A small town that has a unique location directly at the base of Gila National Forest in south west New Mexico. Came from a family of artist's who nurtured and encouraged my creative talent. Started painting, and drawing at age 9 where my family raised me in the hill country of Glen Rose, Texas. There I was exposed to and great artist like Randy Haney, Robert Summers and Jill Sablosky. Since then I live in Austin, via Houston, Texas. I have spent many months working on large scale sculptures in San Antonio, Fort Worth, New Haven, Danbury, Philadelphia, and Columbus. I studied Visual Communication in Commercial Art in Houston for 5 years and stone carving for 3 months at a marble carving studio in Pietrasanta, Italy. Austin is my favorite town and I feel that my home is here now. For these growing last years my life I have been studying the journey of life and now my photography, sculptures and paintings tell the stories and feelings that we all experience. I am capable of working in different genres, one of my favorites is animal abstract.
I like small towns, seascapes, and lush abstracts.
The talent that runs in my family, coupled with the journeys/travels in my life is a dynamic team to produce a relevant masterpiece to touch and inspire all of those who have a chance to define these moments and capture our experience. My work is displayed in both public and private collections throughout the United States.
