ALBERT C. FENNELL - "Spending my early years to investigate life and its effect on humanity, I believe every person has a purpose and is destined to fulfill it. Through my work I strive to create a communication level with all people, dealing with truth, pride and beauty. I thank God for the talent given me...and the opportunity to present it to you."
In the early 1970's, during college art classes, Fennell was introduced to the Rapidograph pen. His natural design abilities created a genuine flair for this medium and he began developing his recognizable pen and ink style.
In the late 1980's, he cultivated his skill and familiarity with the pen and ink as it evolved and developed naturally into the refined, free-flowing, elongated style for which he became recognized and celebrated.
Selected Accomplishments include being chosen as an African American Role Model (in art) by the San Diego Museum of Art and receiving national recognition and publication in the "Artist Market" for his illustration for the San Diego Repertory Theater
SIMONE E. FENNELL -- "I PAINT FEELINGS" -- To express emotions following the loss of her father, Simone's mom (Shanna) suggested she "go paint". She attended art workshops and has enjoyed limited, private art instruction.
Simone's contemporary, figurative style depicts females with soft, flowing lines and fluid movement. She brings hints of culture, balance and inspiration to abstract designs. Her interpretation and innate use of color is a compliment to the precious gift of expression she received at her father's knee.
Some achievements include creating original artwork for a family on "Extreme Makeover-Home Edition" and being juried and selected as one of the youngest artists (at age 22) to exhibit with the Las Vegas Clark County Art Museum system and ultimately selected for a 2005, special, father-daughter, six week exhibit.
Professionally, Simone exhibits an array of creative abilities. She has completed a few art workshops and limited, private art instruction. She completed her education in college and is a licensed cosmetologist. In addition to painting, Simone enjoys an impressive following and actively demonstrates her creative talents as an "Brow Artist" and specializes in the art of permanent makeup. She continues expanding and refining her natural artistic qualities in many fields.
