Description This photo hangs above as I type this. It was taken in 2005 near Toubkal National Park in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. The image is of extremely dense and hard snow pack, the early makings of a glacier. Nestled within it, is large rock that that may have fallen long ago and was then covered by snow. It may have also been scrapped up as the snow pack made its slow winter descent. Note the smaller rocks in front that were only recently freed. It was a rare find.
