Description A hare rests in lush spring foliage. A creature of the threshold, the snowshoe hare turns white in winter, and its big hind paws help it over the snow; hence the name. Hares are nocturnal. I see tracks often in winter, but have yet to spot the beastie that makes them.
F.T. McKinstry, New England Member Since September 2007 Artist Statement I am a fantasy author who loves to paint. Writing and painting work together nicely; one inspires me to do the other. Endlessly fascinated by woods, gardens, birds, wild animals, the sun, moon and stars, I like to put to canvas, or in words, inner landscapes done in rich colors and a mysterious feel inspired by fairy tales, myth, legend and imagination.
