Artist Statement I begin my paintings with a very simple inspiration. It might be a picture that triggered a memory, a moment that I want to capture forever, or a horse that has deeply affected me or someone else. I try to keep it loose, and paint with my emotions, combining traditional techniques with intuition. In the end, I always feel that same connection, that satisfying ease of understanding that I feel when I am training a horse who has just completely realized everything I asked of him.
