Artist Statement I started my underwater photography career when a friend bought me my first underwater camera, the Nikonos V with a Sea and Sea YS60 strobe, as a gift in 1997. I eventually graduated to the Olympus 8080 digital camera, which I use now. I got certified in scuba diving in 1996 and hung around the dive shop too much so they decided to put me to work. I then received my Dive Control Specialist certification (divemaster and assistant instructor) through Scuba Schools International in 1997 and picked up the camera soon after. I have tried to travel to a different location every year to expand my photo opportunities. Currently I am taking advantage of living in South Florida and having the ability to dive any time I want. I hope you enjoy my photographs. I know I enjoyed every minute while taking them. Most of my photography is of marine creatures in and around Florida and the Florida Keys. I have traveled to the Bahamas, Barbardos, Costa Rica, Cozumel, Cancun, Honduras, Turks & Caicos, and the west coast of the United States... all in search of new adventures above and below the surface of the water.
