Artist Statement I was born in Mexico but lived the majority of my life in the United States. I recently made a decision to return to where it all started for me. Growing up in Chicago I learned a lot about Art but figured going back home was the best thing to do for myself as an artist. Since returning to Durango I have been re-invigorated and inspired by my culture and people. My artistic life was formed in the US . I will always be grateful to Chicago but it is time I get back to my roots.
