Artist Statement My name is Maggi Ogunshuyi,
I began painting about 6/7 years ago, when I became a Christian. I am self taught. My work is very Christian/ spiritually centered, there is always a message in my work, but I always leave it to the viewer to make up their own mind because each person has a different take on the same image. I tend to focus on themes which will uplift the soul. I use very vivid colours, sometimes I work with Aycylics and at other times I will use a graphics pad. I love trying out new technics, challenging the viewer as well as myself. It is my intention to try and capture the love and Joy of the Lord in my work, by producing beautiful paintings and images which will uplift and inspire the viewer.
