Artist Statement Dr. Vinod Chauhan [ drVinc ] is internationally exhibited and collected contemporary abstract artist practicing both digital and traditional media.
His motives in art are exploration of the truth through exploration of human perception, interpretation, and imagination of the truth. Having extensive scientific background in Life Sciences and Medical Sciences, his works of art explore the eternal rules of the Nature and the world, their interactions with the existence of the life on earth; and the interplay of the human psyche, perceptions and imaginations with the actual reality.

Since very young age, he has been fascinated by the endless patterns, textures, forms, orders of the nature. What started out as curiosity to know everything and quest to know the whole Truth soon expanded to a multidisciplinary exploration that involved exploration of the intricacies of the human psyche and the endless oscillation of the human mind. This quest of the whole truth seems now turned in to an endless voyage exploring the complexity and richness of the nature and the humanity. An endless exploration of eternal patterns, textures, forms, and orders in natural and digital world, leaving only the complexity of the creative chaos.

As the interplay of the undefineds become defined in the creative chaos, the viewer is left in the midst of a complex of curiosity, optimism and hope in the limitlessness of our possibilities, still unexplored and unchartered.

His creative process often involves deconstruction, abstraction and reconstruction.
His style encompasses Cubism, Color Field, Geometric Abstraction, Lyrical Abstraction, etc.

Inspirations:
Nature and life itself are his principal inspirations. Origin and evolution of the life on the Earth has always been both an inspiration and drive to explore.
Being an avid nature photographer, his work are often inspired from acute observation of the Nature.

Influences:
In artist's own words "There are no Masters, all we can aspire and strive for is to become good students. That's all that we can be. We can learn and learn and learn; and continue exploring the Truth; an unending journey." Leonardo Da Vinci, Charles Darwin, and Carl Sagan are his inspirations of scientific and artistic explorations. As Carl Sagan once said, "The cosmos is also within us, we're made of star-stuff. We are a way for the cosmos, to know itself."
