Description This painting was the result of my recent attendance at a pro rodeo finals in Denver Colorado. There's a lot of bright colors involved to create shadows as well as depth. Bright colors also intensifies the movement. Which is obvious if you have ever been to a rodeo. The photo gave me the feeling that this was not a young rider, so hence the title 'The Last Ride'. The original which is available is 28' x 18' x 1'depth* I am available for commissioned original art.* Surprisingly affordable* The process is very simpleIf you choose to purchase original art work I urge you to link up with my web page at: kevinmeredith.etsy.com E-mail me from this site. Kevin Meredith, Denver Member Since January 2013 Artist Statement From my childhood spent on a farm in the Midwest thru my years of academia at the University of Kansas School of Fine Arts to present, I continue to refine my craft in the world of fine arts. My inspirational point in painting is to tell a story, capture a memory, real or imagined. To create something that might move your spirit and stir in you that same passion by which I am driven. A couple American artist masters that embodied this approach in their life time of work were Homer Winslow and of coarse Norman Rockwell. There are many others but these artists are my favorite. Their use of color and an ability to convey emotion thru the stroke of the brush.
Thanks for visiting and my hope is that in some way my work moves you.
