Description I try to figure out why I am who I am, and I look towards this stunning sculpture of the world, called the Unisphere, which was the symbol of the 1964 World's Fair, Flushing Meadows, New York. I grew up 10 minutes from this spot, and more than anything else, the exposure I had to this sculpture and the fair when I was 4 years old had a strong impact on my love of life and my international perspective and need to venture beyond my home. When I visited the Acropolis in Athens, I had the same feeling.
Matthew Person, Cape Cod Member Since May 2008 Artist Statement I work in a library, and I once was a chef in an embassy, but I have always been photographer. I love pinhole photography, and the pre-digital creativity which was a part of film photography. When I was younger, I thought of myself a social documentary photographer, but now I just shoot for fun, mostly while traveling. Digital photography is exact, instant, and pretty cool. Enjoy my photos!
