Artist Statement "not even introspection has been a still experience" - nin

My mixed media photomontages are birthed from a place of self-introspection. My creative drive stems from a desire to understand myself. My work is about the triumph of my spirit while still calling out my shortcomings. I dissect, deconstruct and unravel my fears, my loves, my passions and my pains allowing them to manifests through my work serving as an uncensored spiritual and emotional diary. I explore and play with a variety of media looking for the best means to express my story. I invite the viewer to attempt to decipher its meaning but at the same time I hope they find something that evokes a hidden memory or message that is completely their own.
