Description 1971 King Seeley Thermos trio in avocado green, orange and yellow. Thermos has had the hottest products since 1904. Invented in 1892 by Sir James Dewar, a scientist at Oxford University, the vacuum flask was not manufactured for commercial use until 1904, when two German glass blowers formed Thermos GmbH. They held a contest to name the vacuum flask and a resident of Munich submitted 'Thermos', which came from the Greek word 'Therme' meaning 'heat'.I love vintage thermos bottles. This is my tribute to them. Design has a built in black border.Design copyright Donna Mibus. All rights reserved. No part of my artwork can be copied or used without permission.
