Artist Statement I have been and done many things but the only one that fits is art.
I have a BFA from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn but I don't really do what I went to school for (how many of us do?). The last few years have been about painting, drawing, getting messy, and staying that way.
My amazing wife Heather is also an artist. She makes glass beads and handmade jewelry.
We live in the woods of PA surrounded by farms, buffalo, trees, and beautiful views which many of my recent works are based on.
Most of my work these days is either oil on canvas or ink & oil pastel on boards. I like large paintings with bold outlines, thick brush strokes, and color. Many subjects are traditional to this area's art history but my work tends to be more contemporary. I also paint do commissioned portraits of people, pets, buildings, your vacation name it.
