Description TrinityI took this picture a couple nights back when we finally got a few clouds in the sky. The water level of the lake has been risen and fallen quite a bit since Ive started going there, so it makes for some nice changes of scenery. That also explains why I hadnt seen these three rocks before and they just really stood out at me, so I set up my tripod and just sat there for about 20 minutes until the sunset went down. Very calming.I learned a lot about myself during the post processing of this image. As many of you who are photographers know, the image that you see and the image that comes out of the camera are about as opposite as you can get. I knew this could be a good shot when I was lining the shot up in the viewfinder. I actually created a final version of this shot with a very blue tint before this one. I liked it, but it just didnt feel right. I decided to scrap the first version and start over, and man am I glad I did. It wasnt until I was messing with the curves at one point the image just snapped into place for me in an almost instant. It was like I knew this was the shot I had wanted to create and it made sense to me before how the shots I had thought, Im not sure if this is good or not most of the time probably just werent good. Either that or Im just joking myself about all this :PHDR image from 1 exposure. Curves mainly edited
Chris Chamberlain Member Since December 2008 Artist Statement My name is Chris. I'm pretty new to photography, but I've found so far that I learn best by just jumping in and learning as I go. My goal is to capture photos that really take the viewer away to a new place. Something they can get lost in and feel like they are there.
