Description The Tanzanian people really know how to look out for each other. Community is their backbone. This was taken from a window a couple stories up from this scene. I zoomed in as much as possible to catch the beautiful intimacy of their relationships.
Kathleen Wendland, Lake Oswego, Oregon Member Since December 2019 Artist Statement I love telling stories without words. In color, black and white or sepia. I have had the privilege of capturing many living, breathing stories. They can be told through the lined faces of veterans; the way a couple holds hands; in the posture of an orphan. I strive to tell honest, powerful stories. And I would be honored if the stories captured in my images had a place in your home or office.
Ten percent of my proceeds go to The Sisters of Our Lady Queen of Africa, who have some of the most amazing stories.
