Description Digital photograph. This photo was taken atop the Cloud Peak Wilderness at the Seven Brothers lakes in Wyoming. I like the way the perspective seems off - the eye wants to keep turning the photo.When I was little, I saw a photo used in an Onida ad of a pink flower growing out of gray cement or asphalt. I ripped it out of the magazine and put it up on my cork board wall space. It spoke of hope, and whenever I see plants coming out of rock, I get a feeling of hope.

Artist Statement Painting is my first love - I've been influenced by German Expressionism and Fauvism. Emotion through the use of color is very important to me. I adore extreme, brilliant color and have a preference for figurative work. I've been painting for many years, have been in over 40 shows, and have had previous representation with galleries in Chicago and Santa Fe. I am now with a gallery in Elk, California.


I work in several forms of art including photography, oil pastel and "Little Souls" which are found-object mosaic-like pieces, that serve as small framed shrines. Creativity is a gift to be enjoyed by those who create and those who observe - ENJOY!
