Artist Statement Oleg Portnoy is an illustrator and graphic designer from Toronto, Canada. He was born in Moscow, Russia in 1983. When he was eight years old he traveled to Israel with his family and spent two years living there before coming to Canada.

Oleg’s editorial illustrations have appeared in publications in North America, which include The National Post, The Financial Post, Feathertale Review Magazine, and Exodus Magazine.

His illustration work has received awards from American Illustration, Society of Illustrators West, 3X3 Illustration, Creative Quarterly,
and Juxtapoz.

Oleg’s formal art education includes a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Illustration from Sheridan College and a Master in Design
from York University.
