Artist Statement I first discovered my love for art when I was about 6 years old. I would stay up late watching my father paint in his shop for hours. He liked to work alone so I would often hide in his shop. Naturally when I was found or removed, I became more inquisitive. I discovered some techniques from my father and my brother who was also fascinated with the skill. I later refined all I had learned for years in high school and college. Although I believe that art is a desire more than a business, I do understand and respect the sales aspect of it. I believe art is a way for a person, no matter who they are to find themselves. Whether a person is an artist or an admirer art can free a person and we should display it. Like music, love, and literature, art needs to be expressed, but preserved and protected. Although I am not a hardcore salesmen of it, it is my hope to change or influence the world with art some day.
