Description Violinist And Composer Paganini As A Street Musician. NICOLO PAGANINI (1782-1840) was an Italian violinist and composer. This beautifully detailed image appeared in an 1891 issue of Chatterbox. According to the publication, a little boy was playing a violin on the street of an Italian town to earn money for food. He was not playing well at all. A gentleman came by and took the boy's violin and started to play. A crowd became spellbound by the melody and showered coins upon them. The boy collected the coins. The gentleman was the famous violinist Paganini.I have selected interesting, old 19th century graphic images now in the public domain for digital restoration and editing. The images were adjusted and brightened to make the images suitable for display and other purposes.
