Description This is an image of the walkway on the north side of Washington Oaks State Park in Palm Coast Florida. The walkway is across the street from 'The Rocks,' the area of the beach that Florida and Flagler County recommends to the public as the best accessible place to see the coquina of the Anastasia formation. The Rocks, which are of course continuous with the area we photographed, are one mile south of the Matanzas Shores complex (Surf Clubs 1, 2, and 3) where the images were taken. The walkway also accesses two of the walking trail through the hammock of trees that grace the park.
Bev And Will Callender, South Portland, Maine Member Since May 2009 Artist Statement Bev and Will—graduates of Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, where they met—have been married for almost fifty years. The big day is January second next year. Bev worked as a housing administrator for many years, two municipalities and a two-county authority. Will was a college professor—sociology, philosophy, adult education. After retirement, Will took up photography, first black and white and then in color and digital. He would put his photographs on Bev's desk looking for a little admiration. One day, she started imaginatively inking them, thereby giving birth to the Inkagraph. People who saw them—our three children, five grandchildren, artist friends— said "they are great," "I love them," "you must do something with them," "take them to a gallery," and the like. So here we are, thanks to Imagekind, exhibiting them to the public for the first time. We hope you enjoy viewing them as much as we've enjoyed creating them.
