Artist Statement Born on April 5th 1980 in Trinidad and later raised in Toronto Canada, Jerome Punnett has always had a passion for art. As far backs as can be remembered, he has always seen things differently than others. His abstract art reflects this. , In life, Jerome has suffered many hardships. He has seen life in a way that most of us cannot begin to imagine. This has made him a stronger artist, allowing him to be able to express his innermost feelings on his canvas., Jerome’s inspiration comes from the secretive life inside of his mind. He loves color, he dreams it; it is his soul food. He is captured by all that he sees - nature and the way things are always changing around him. Like Jerome, the world is in constant motion, and he finds beauty and art in this.
