The River Bed
The cold blue river hugs the vee where the land captures it between tree-lined thighs in a geologic lover's embrace. Birth and death swirl in the sky above the frigid water, silently exchanging places in nature's fluid dance. I recall you sliding yourself, hot and throbbing with the unashamed carnelian of lust, between my hungry thighs, pleasure and pain forever linked in that sacred bed of ecstasy and loss, where birth and death coexist somewhere between sleep and stars. ~ copyright 2017 RC deWinter
The moon is offstage on a tranquil autumn night as it illuminates a landlocked branch of the Kaministiquia River, locally called the Kam. The main branch empties into Lake Superior in Thunder Bay, Canada. The name means 'river with islands' in the indigenous Ojibwe language.
