Artist Statement I take pride in immersing myself in all types of photographic processes, new and antiquated, not just a surface exploration, but a deep understanding. Today and in the future I strive to continue expanding my photography experience in all directions and with all technologies. I also hope to learn more about other disciplines and how I can collaborate with them via my photography.

I hold a BFA in Applied Visual Arts from Oregon State University. I am well versed in other mediums in addition to photography. I love to bake, knit, and am a documentary hound. The old and antiquated hold a certain interest from me, not strictly photographically speaking, but in the all of the stories they tell about their lives and the times they have lived in.

In my spare time I enjoy handcrafts, art, coffee, movies and music. Anything that keeps me active and learning new things. Wikipedia is my favorite website.

I was born and raised in an eastern Oregon town with roots in mining and the logging industry. I spent a fair amount of time as a child on a ranch and in the woods, as such nature holds a certain place in my heart. Along with the love of outside, I was raised with the strong work ethic of the hard-working manual laborers of my home town. Work harder than you have to, do more than your fair share, and play as much as you possibly can in your downtime. Words I can live by...
